"squared" Not returning right result, tested in workspace though, and it returns as expected. Can somebody help please?

Should be straight forward enough, but says it's not returning the right result. When run a workspace using the examples given it runs fine. What have I missed?

squared.py 
# EXAMPLES
# squared(5) would return 25
# squared("2") would return 4
# squared("tim") would return "timtimtim"

def squared(myarg):
    try:
        return int(myarg ** 2)
    except TypeError:
        return myarg*len(myarg)

You need to perform the int conversion directly on the argument itself, and before doing the math on it.

Also, the type of exception that a failed conversion would throw is a ValueError.

Yeah, that did it thanks...

    try:
        myarg=int(myarg)
        return myarg**2
    except ValueError:

You can still have just one line in the try. You can fix your original by just moving the close parenthesis.
