Hi There Well Here I am..brand new to the world of programming and ready to take my first plunge
Long story short..I’m fairly old (33) and at a cross roads career wise.
I am sick and tired of my current career (IT support) and looking for a career change into web development.
I have started picking up HTML and CCS in my spare time from various online courses, I have done some independent research and wanted to get into web development, front end in particular. My questions are
1) Realistically how long will it take to become “employable” ,obviously at a junior level after I get a good grip on the core basics (HTML ,CSS ,Javascript) ?
2) As I work full time I don’t have the luxury of time, so I can at least put in 2 hours per day max toward my learning, can this be achieved within 3-6 months?
3) Does this career have a lot of work from home opportunities?
I’m keen to hear from someone who has done something similar in terms of looking for a new career and self-taught themselves to an employable level.
Thanks guys for reading =)
