Courses Plus Student 4,023 Pointslet inputValue = document.querySelector('#linkName').value; you selected the input but didnt asked for it's value. Here you need to assign it your selector to .value method. note: you can use either .querySelector or getElementById. both will work fine. but for better performance for dom, do use getElementById.
