Store the value of the text input element in the variable inputValue

using const inputValue = document.querySelectorAll(input.id); or const inputValue = document.querySelectorAll(input.linkName);

is not working.

You have a few issues here:

  • The selector "input.linkName" would target an input element with a class of "linkName", but this element has an ID of "linkName"
  • Since ID's are all unique, you can shorten the selector to just "#linkName"
  • "querySelectorAll" returns a collection but you need a single element. You can use "querySelector" instead.
  • once you've targeted the element, you need to get the "value" property from it
