Question 1 of 2 was right. Question 2 0f 2 says that : It looks like question one is not passing. How do I fix this.

strings = "name"
name = "david"
variable = subject
subject = "david"
subject = ("Treehouse loves {david}").

You just need two lines of code. The name variable and subject variable. And then use format to pass the name to the subject.

here looks the code:

name = 'David'
subject = 'Treehouse loves {}'.format(name)
