Can this course please be remade completely.
I spend the majority of my time trying to figure out what code is left out and why certain pieces of code wont work due to how old this course is.
It has become beyond frustrating /=

20,893 PointsI understand the testing, it is just the parts where Jason does stuff off-cam that is frustrating. Alongside the occasional compatibility issues with the old rspec and new.
I finally got through the course, but I ended up having to download the project files and use some of the outdated software to get everything to work properly..
I do agree though, the course needs to be split up better and explained in much more detail.

20,374 PointsGoing through it right now, Couldn't agree more. It's taken me over 5 hours to do this one badge because of all the stuff he does off cam and issues with gems with this older code.

8,689 PointsI know testing is important, and its good to know how to test, but this almost needs to be the second course, with a first course focussed more on just building the models, routes, controllers. I think testing will make much more sense after getting a grip on the fundamental concepts. I have been teaching beginner CS courses for over 20 years and even I find this series frustrating at times.
