Treehouse Moderator 11,077 PointsWell we need to concatenate the pound symbol and the uppercase version of the lastname.
If you remember string concatenation then you should have all the information necessary to complete the program, just remember that you are not setting the userName to the new one in the same line that you created the variable from, but after you have created the userName variable.
Basically it should look like this:
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase() ;
useName += "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
