Stuck on code challenge

Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong here?

dice.py
import random

class Die:
    def __init__(self, sides=2):
        if sides < 2:
            raise ValueError("Can't have fewer than two sides")
        self.sides = sides
        self.value = random.randint(1, sides)

    def __int__(self):
        return self.value

    def __add__(self, other):
        return int(self) + other

    def __radd__(self, other):
        return self + other

class D20(Die):
    def __init__(self, sides=20):
        super().__init__(sides)
hands.py
from dice import D20

class Hand(list):
    @property
    def total(self):
        return sum(self)

    @classmethod
    def roll(cls, number):
        var1 = cls()
        for _ in range(number):
            var1.append(D20)
        return var1

Instead of var1.append(D20), you need to have var1.append(D20()) so you are appending an instance and not the class itself.

That's still not working sorry!

Hmm...worked for me. I just copied your same code and made the change. I input:

from dice import D20

class Hand(list):
    @property
    def total(self):
        return sum(self)

    @classmethod
    def roll(cls, number):
        var1 = cls()
        for _ in range(number):
            var1.append(D20())
        return var1

Are you getting a bummer error or something else?

Must have been a fault, I reloaded the challenge and it worked. Was just giving the bummer error repeatedly before, cheers!
