Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Print "hi"

stuck on python def

currently stuck on portion of def it seems like it should be easy to grasp the concept of but i just get a hold of it pls help

      count = 1
        1 = print('hi ')

Hi Addison,

You declared your function correctly, but there's a bit of an issue inside. You don't need to set count equal to an integer because it is a parameter that will be passed into the function whenever it is called. You can simply multiply the string "Hi " by count.

def printer(count):
    print("Hi " * count)
