JavaScript React Basics (2018) First Steps in React Understanding JSX

Stuck on the text/babel section; likely related to http local server

I get a CORS messaage saying it can't read my file and use my JSX stuff. I'm not sure how I am supposed to proceed with the course. I've installed both python and node.js and tried running both local servers and neither of them work for me.

I downloaded MAMP and made the react directory the localhost one. It works perfectly then

I was having this same issue, but this fixed it for me:

After running the local python server by putting this in the command line:

python -m SimpleHTTPServer

Click this link: http://localhost:8000

This will ensure that you're actually accessing your project through the server you're running, instead of just opening it in your browser from the file navigator. Hope this helps!
