3,808 PointsStuck on this exercise (Javascript do while loops)
I keep getting this wrong but can't figure out why or what to do. Thanks- Michele
var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
do {
if ( secret === "sesame" ) {
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");
}
else {
alert("Sorry, try again.");
}
} while ( secret !== "sesame" )

10,007 PointsDeclare the variable to hold the user input outside of the loop but the prompt needs to be inside the loop. The loop will still prompt the user for the right password when they guess the wrong one.
var secret;
do {
secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
if ( secret === "sesame" ) {
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");
}
else {
alert("Sorry, try again.");
}
} while ( secret !== "sesame" )

18,068 PointsYou're very close. The mistake is a simple one to fix. Just move the prompt inside the do...while loop like so:
do {
var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
if ( secret === "sesame" ) {
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");
}
else {
alert("Sorry, try again.");
}
} while ( secret !== "sesame" )
