Stumped n challenge task 2

Can anyone tell me where I am making a mistake?

var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
username += "#" = lastName.toUpperCase();

This took me a while to figure out as well, it is more simple than u think. You just need to add the 2nd task onto the 1st. It makes sense when u see it imo.

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();

And just add + signs in between as u are adding it together, not = signs. Good luck!

That was the way I finally got past that challenge. That solution doesn't take into consideration the previous tasks however which I thought was the point. Thanks for responding.
