what am i missing?

index.html

Is that all you have in your index.html page? If so, you're missing key elements that make an html page. You need the DOCTYPE declaration at the top. You also must have <html></html>, <head></head>, & <body></body> tags present.

I'd recommend reviewing the basic html structure before proceeding.

<body>
  <style>

    h1 {
    color:green;
    }

  </style>
    <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
</body>

There is two things it could be.

  1. You are missing the body tags around everything.
  2. You put blue when it asked for green.
