Style the image captions

I'm having trouble applying the clear to the footer, I can't see a problem with my code, but the footer images are still floating around.

''' footer { font-size: 0.75em; text-align: center; clear: both; padding-top: 50px; color: #ccc; } '''

Any help would be much appreciated! I've been trying to avoid starting discussions in favour of finding my faults myself, but had to admit defeat with this one :(

Your code looks fine. Just a thought: did you save it and then refresh your browser?

Yeah I did, I refreshed the browser a couple of times and the problem persisted, went for a smoke break and came back hit refresh again and hey presto! It works now! I guess it was just lag or something? Thanks for replying though Diane!
