In the Object-orientated php basics course, Class and Method Interaction, Paul outlines code where you can pass in class names as below.
//substitute class name for instantiation $class = "Product"; $p = new $class;
How come we don't need to add the brackets () ? i.e. $p = new $class();
So missing brackets doesn't break php?
Normally you would have $p = new Product();
