Python Python Basics (2015) Shopping List App Continue

Substring not found

HI I try to solved this challenge but it shows substring not found here is my code

items = ["Apple","Banana","Orange"]
def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
   for item in items:
    if item == item.index("a"):
        continue
    else:
        print(item)

Can someone englighten me? Thanks

Hi dfk,

In your if statement, you want to check if the letter at index 0 of item is equal to "a". If it is, continue. You are close. e.g.

def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
      if item[0] == "a":
        continue
      print(item)
