2,381 PointsSuper Override
Hi,
I am having issues with this exercise. In challenge task 2/3 I am requested to override the add item method of the Inventory class in thee 'SortedInventory' class.
I do not see where, I am going wrong in this example.
As specified in the exercise specification, I have created the 'add_item' method in in the 'SortedInventorty' class, and added a super variable to the method.
I have already tried but, in this instance do I need to refer to the Inventory's 'add_item' method in the following manner?
super().Inventory.add_item() super().self.add_item()
My thinking is no because Inventory class is already being passed through in the 'SortedInventory' Class call.
Kindly assist.
class Inventory:
def __init__(self):
self.slots = []
def add_item(self, item):
self.slots.append(item)
class SortedInventory(Inventory):
def add_item(self, item):
super().add_item(item):
self.slots.append(item)

22,419 PointsYou just have one line too many. Remove the last line and you should have it.
class SortedInventory(Inventory):
def add_item(self, item):
super().add_item(item)
Hope this helps.
