Hey Phil,

That's a very misleading error message. What is almost always means is that you have introduced a syntax error in the task you are working on ... not any previous task.

Here, it's just indentation errors. Python is very indent dependent. So, your starting if line should not be indented but the return should be. Same with the else and the return there.

Also, while not technically incorrect, you don't need to specify bool for the return values. Just True and False is fine.

admitted = None

if age >= 13:
    admitted = True
else: 
    admitted = False
