Why is Task 1 no longer passing? I did not make any changes to the code for task 1.
const contentDiv = document.getElementById("content");
let newParagraph = document.createElement("p");
newParagraph.className = "panel";
contentDiv.appendChild("newParagraph");

Treehouse TeacherHi there, Kawi! You're doing great! The most common reason to get a "Task 1 is no longer passing" is due to a syntax error. At this point, none of your code can be interpreted which makes all the code invalid. That is what is happening here.
In your last line, you've surrounded newParagraph
in quotes so that it is now a string instead of the node held in the variable newParagraph
Removing the quotes causes this to pass all steps.
You typed:
contentDiv.appendChild("newParagraph");
But that should be:
contentDiv.appendChild(newParagraph);
Hope this helps!
