task 1 no longer passes even though i changed nothing about it

i have literally no idea what im doing wrong. task 1 was making mSpaceship = new Spaceship("FIREFLY");

LandingActivity.java
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.View;
import android.widget.Button;
import android.widget.EditText;

public class LandingActivity extends Activity {

    public Button mThrustButton;
    public TextView mTypeLabel;
    public EditText mPassengersField;

    public Spaceship mSpaceship;

    @Override
    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.activity_landing);

        mThrustButton = (Button)findViewById(R.id.thrustButton);
        mTypeLabel.setText(mSpaceship.getType());
        mPassengersField = (EditText)findViewById(R.id.passengersEditText);

        // Add your code here!
      mSpaceship = new Spaceship("FIREFLY");
    }
}
Spaceship.java
public class Spaceship {
    private String mType;
    private int mNumPassengers = 0;

    public String getType() {
      return mType;
    }

    public void setType(String type) {
      mType = type;
    }

    public int getNumPassengers() {
      return mNumPassengers;
    }

    public void setNumPassengers(int numPassengers) {
      mNumPassengers = numPassengers;
    }

    public Spaceship() {
      mType = "SHUTTLE";
    }

    public Spaceship(String type) {
      mType = type;
    }
}

Currently, you have changed the line where mTypeLabel was defined to have the setText. You want to have it the variable is defined the way it was at the start of the challenge and then after you create the spaceship use the mTypeLabel.setText(mSpaceship.getType()); line.

If you have a syntax error in the new code, the challenge interface will return the "task 1 is no longer passing" error.

i don't see anything wrong with mTypeLabel.setText(mSpaceship.getType());

You need to instantiate mTypeLabel, like the other views have been instantiated.

mTypeLabel = (TextView)findViewById...
