Task 1 no longer passing...

Not sure what the problem is here - import random is the first line of code and I don't have any variable names that would interfere with that...

even.py
import random

def even_odd(num):
    # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
    # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
    return not num % 2

start = 5

while start
    num = random.randint(1, 99)
    if even_odd(num) == 0:
        print("{} is even".format(num))
    else:
        print("{} is odd".format(num))
    start -= 1

import random

def even_odd(num):
    # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
    # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
    return not  num % 2

start = 5

while start
    num = random.randint(1, 99)
# I understand why you used the function even_odd(num) in your code
#just remenber this is a new number generated randomly , so you don't need the return number from that function
# I did use the num %2 == 0 to make sure that the number is a even.
if num % 2 == 0:
        print("{} is even".format(num))
    else:
        print("{} is odd".format(num))
    start -= 1
