Hey Steven,

Remove the semicolon towards the end of your if statement.

I've commented as to where the error is:

var answer = prompt('What is the best programming language?');
if (answer.toUpperCase() === 'JAVASCRIPT');{ // Notice the semicolon next to the opening curly brace? That is invalid JavaScript.
  alert('You are correct');
} else{
  alert('Javascript is the best language!');
}

Thanks, that was the problem the whole time.
