function getYear(){
  var year = newDate().getFullYear();
  return year
}

It can do that sometimes, but it si usually due to the last task entered not being quite right.

In your case, the last line isn't what's expected. The question is Call the getYear function: store the returned value of the function in a new variable named yearToday

So that should look like:

function getYear() {
  var year = new Date().getFullYear();
  return year
}

var yearToday = getYear();

Hope that helps,

Steve.
