HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Create Navigation with Lists

The challenge task 2 doesn't work correctly. It's telling me to be sure I add a "portfolio" ul item. I have.

i even added it after the <ul></ul> from the first step (which I shouldn't have to, but the instructions say to).

i tried it both ways. I'm almost certain that I'm not in error here.

Hi Drew,

You're close! Here's how unordered lists work:

 <ul>
        <li>Portfolio</li>
        <li>About</li>
        <li>Contact</li> 
</ul>

The "ul" tags surround the whole list, while the "li" tags surround each individual list item. "ul" for "unordered list", "li" for "list item".
