As a young Rubyist and lover of the amazing things that Treehouse do, l have been pondering about one question lately and hope some one can help. The future of ruby on rails on treehouse? Is treehouse going to update their rails courses and continue teaching it as a course? l am a bit worried that the courses on here are behind and with the launch of Rails 5, if there are any plans to teach students about those weird new introduction?

Treehouse TeacherHey everyone! Sorry for the delayed response here. We will offer more content on Rails, but we're planning for a curriculum build on the impending Rails 5 instead of anything new on Rails 4. We don't want to publish a course only to have it be out of date in the very near future. :)
We will add courses to our public roadmap once we get more firm dates on things. Thanks for your interest and feedback!

28,149 PointsI've wondered the same thing too, and have asked a similar question. Would love to know what's the plan, or at least there is a plan.
Jason and Jim both no longer work at Treehouse, so as far as I know, there is no one at the helm of the ruby courses. I would be so excited to see some Rails 5 stuff come out, this section desperately needs it.

Treehouse TeacherThanks for the intro, Ben Jakuben ! Psyched to be helping out with Ruby content. It will take a little time to crank out some of the courses we've all been waiting for, but when I'm done, I intend for Treehouse to be one of the best places on earth to learn Ruby!

21,774 PointsPretty sure they aren't going to do anymore Rails or Ruby. I tweeted at Treehouse with this question, never got a reply, I posted on this forum about this question, never got a reply. Such a shame too. Looks CodeSchool is the only option for Rails/Ruby atm.

Treehouse TeacherThis seems like a great place to announce that our very own Jay McGavren is our new Ruby teacher! He has been a developer at Treehouse for quite a while and has recently published an outstanding book: Head First Ruby. Ruby and Rails content could not be in better hands! Look for him to add workshops and courses to the roadmap and library in the coming months, and let him know if you have any feedback or requests.
