Android Build a Simple Android App (2014) Creating the Screen Layout Setting Colors

the question was to change the background colour to dark pink i copy pasted the given colour code but still the Bummer!!

Hi Rohit,

If you're using a hex value for the colour, you don't need to start with android:color, so your line should look like:

android:background="#fff092b0" >

The pre-defined colours like white etc need specifying as such using the android:color to identify them. A straight hex value is parsed immediately as a custom color.
