the quiz final answer is correct but it consider it as wrong i do not know why ??

the instruction of quez is : Something's wrong with this script. The value in the variable money is only 9. But if you preview this script you'll see the "Time to go to the theater" message. Fix this script so that it correctly tests the money and today variables and prints out the proper alert message: "It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out" /* the code*/ var money = 9; var today = 'Monday'

if ( money >= 100 || today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money >= 50 || today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money > 10 || today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today !== 'Friday' || money === 9 ) { alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else { alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home."); }

script.js
var money = 9;
var today = 'Friday'

if ( money >= 100 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money >= 50 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money > 10 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today !== 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

Take a look at the operators in use, the current script is using || which means if either condition is true then the code passes, you will need to change these to make sure both conditions are true for that line of code to pass.

also on your final else if statement you currently have !== as your operator, you will need to change this as well to make your today variable is equal to "Friday".

thanks for the tips and time :)

Hello,

Im trying to code such as below : var money = 9; var today = 'Friday'

if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money >= 50 || today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money > 10 || today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today === 'Friday' ) { alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else { alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home."); }

but unfortunately the code is not passing, any idea ?

again, if you look past your firs if statement, the following else if statements are still using the || operator, make sure these are asking for both values to be true.

your final else if statement is correct.
