The second task here isn't validating my correct code. What am I doing wrong? It functions as it should.

var answer = prompt("What is the best programming language?"); if (answer.toUpperCase() === "JAVASCRIPT") { alert ("You are correct"); }

app.js

I suspect it's because you've tried to chain it with the toUpperCase method, but the task doesn't ask for this, at least by question 2. Try taking this out.

Technically what you've written is valid code but the code challenge isn't expecting it.

var answer = prompt("What is the best programming language?");

if(answer === "JavaScript") {
  alert("You are Correct");
}
