4,041 PointsThe set up of the new post type works! But.. the field that is usually seen in normal posts is still there! How come?
I made a recipe custom post, but unfortunately the 'normal' field for a post is still hovering above my nice new field.. What to do?

28,149 PointsThere is a setting somewhere, I think it's in the Custom Post type settings to hide the default input box for the post. Let me know if that helps, it's been awhile since I've messed with it.

28,149 PointsI went back and looked, the option to hide fields is in the Advanced Custom Fields plugin, not the Post Type UI plugin. Check out the video link at the top of the page starting about 3:30 in. At that point, Zac shows all the options to hide fields, which is in the options section of that advanced custom field group.
