2,397 PointsThe video really did not cover how to do this. I have tried every combination I can think of
None of the combinations I have tried have worked. I have not made changed to task 1, yet it keeps telling me "Task 1 is no longer passing"
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName= id.toUpperCase(userName);
var userName+="#"
var userName+= lastName.toUpperCase;

15,093 PointsYou can do it all in one line to make it easier.
When using the string method you would call it like this:
stringVariable.toUpperCase();
You do not need to pass anything into it.
One way to solve the task is like this:
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
I think you should be able to do it with the "*+=" way like you were trying, but you were calling the toUpperCase method incorrectly.
Hope that helps.
