Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Try and Except

trial.py 
def add (num1, num2):
try:
    return float(num1) + float(num2)
except ValueError:
    return None
else:
    return float(num1 + num2)

The main problem is that you haven't indented the code that's supposed to be inside of the function. The try-arguments are in a separate block, thus will not run when you call the function.

Also you aren't supposed to return anything inside of try, only convert the variables to floats. Remember that you have to assign the new value to the variable. (num = float(num))

Lastly there is no need for you to convert the sum to floats in the else return, since that has already been taken care of inside try.
