This code is correct i ran it on my computer's console and it executed correctly but here it's not working.

var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?"); do { secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
} while ( secret !== "sesame" ); document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

Looks like it only wants one prompt() statement, so you just need to change your first line of code to something like this:

var secret;

The challenge returned this message from your code:

"You only need to call the prompt() method once, and only inside the loop. Hint: Declare the secret variable before the loop."

You've correctly declared the variable outside of the loop on line 1, but you don't need to assign a value to it (the prompt) until the loop runs. So even though your code doesn't have syntax errors, the challenge is asking to avoid repetition. Line 1 can simply be "var secret;"
