This doesn't work. display: inline-block; is correct.

what am i missing here?

It is not working because you are not targeting the correct element.

Try 

nav li

And please refrain from using profanity in your posts in the future.

Task 3 directions are: Select the list items inside the nav element and set their display to inline-block.

As Hugo Paz mentioned. You need to target the nav li element.
