This doesn't work for me at all, and the link he suggest is outdated.

Nothing outputs when I had the wp_filter, I have a fresh install of WordPress locally, could the reason why nothing is showing up. There aren't any errors or anything. At first I thought I needed to enable debugging in my wp-config file, but that didn't solve the problem.
