This one keeps on failing. I have tried a thousand times still me pass

αΊ…hat is wrong with my repeat and if statement here

loop.rb 
def repeat(string, times)
  fail "times must be 1 or more" if times < 1
  counter = 0
  loop do
    # YOUR CODE 
    repaet(string, 5)
        counter = counter + 1
    if (counter == times)
      break
    end

  end
end

Hi there, Fabian Pijpers ! Inside your do block you have something called repaet. They are only asking you to puts string. That displays whatever string it was. Then increment counter which you've done just fine. You only need to replace:

repaet(string, 5)

with...

puts string

Thanks for showing where i really went wrong. you showed me why i missed, and what reasoning on my part needed to be altered. Withoud you i would still be in a loop of trying thousand of things misguided by my own idea of what something is. Thanks again.
