Courses Plus Student 40,065 PointsHi David,
Looks good, just you need to follow their string interpolation specifically like "The remainder of a divided by b is c.”
Example:
"The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{c}."
You don't have to add puts, return and colon : in which Ruby will do itself.
Something like this:
# Use string interpolation to return the remainder inside the sentence “The remainder of a divided by b is c.”
# where a is your “a” variable, b is your “b” variable, and c is the value of a % b.
def mod(a, b)
c = a % b
"The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{c}."
end
Hope that helps.

12,924 PointsThanks Salman. That works but I'm astonished that anyone would continue to pound away at all the possible (and reasonalble) solutions to this until they came to that specific syntax. This is a simple method and the determant nature of the answer is unreasonalbe IMHO.
