This works for me in workspaces but not in challenge Edit: i changed print(word) to return word but still no luck

Works for me in Workspaces fine, maybe I'm missing something simple?

disemvowel.py
vowels = ['a', 'e', 'i', 'o', 'u']

def disemvowel(word):

    for vowel in vowels:
        if vowel or vowel.upper() in word:
            list_word = list(word)
            if vowel in list_word:
                list_word.remove(vowel)

                word = ''.join(list_word)
                continue

            if vowel.upper() in list_word:
                list_word.remove(vowel.upper())
                word = ''.join(list_word)

            else:
                print(word)
                break

The line if vowel or vowel.upper() in word: is unnecessary. Try removing that.

The solution is quite complex, you could simplify by looping though the word, if the letter is not in vowels, add to a new string, return the new string.
