This works on other JavaScript Interpreters why not on this one?

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
 userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();

Problem Solved - It just started working because I deleted the first var declaration for userName. Here is what I submitted and passed with:

var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase(); console.log(userName);

Deleting the first userName object should not have been necessary. In any event, it is solved. Thanks.
