8,243 PointsTreehouse UI Bug
Hello.
I have encountered a bug with the UI after watching a video. This has been going on for a while, but recently, it has been getting on my nerves. https://i.imgsafe.org/c2bdc9cd03.png

18,513 PointsI've been noticing it too .... especially since I watch the videos with the captioning on to help with taking the info in. With this new layout "situation" the captions cover a significant area of the video window, as opposed to just being at the bottom part of the screen like they usually would be.

8,600 PointsThis has been a tricky one to figure out. We've documented and our engineers have looked into it. We've been able to duplicate it at times, but not always. A refresh seems to always typically fix it. What OS and browsers are folks using when they experience this bug?

11,551 PointsI have it happen on a few different machines. I can tell you it was about... late august early september when I first noticed it.
All machines Windows 10, and in the latest Chrome and The non anniversary version of Edge. (not sure what version that is.
I'll also add that I can always tell it is happening right as the video begins. There's a brief separation of the UI you can see it pop up for a brief second away from the main video then disappear. Then all the popup elements jump up to that same spot you saw it jump to.

8,600 PointsMark Trevathan thanks, and what about your OS? As far as I can tell, this issue seems to be isolated to Chrome and any browsers relying on Chromium.

11,613 PointsOh, sorry must have skipped over that part. I'm on Windows 7, I'm assuming it might have something to do with updates that have been written for later versions?

8,600 PointsThanks for the additional information everyone. Interestingly enough, I too am on Windows 10 and using the latest version of Chrome and I can't duplicate this issue. I've added these additional details to our bug report and we'll continue to monitor it and work towards a fix.

15,555 PointsI am having this issue too - on a Mac OS Sierra. I use chrome. In addition to the above issues described in this forum - When I hit 'continue' at the end of one of the steps - nothing happens. I have to go back to my home page and hit 'resume' from there. This has been going on for well over a month and on the previous OS version I had on my mac before I updated to Sierra this past weekend.

11,551 PointsI can verify it happening very often as well. I noticed it first in early September. It seems to be a bit sporadic. When the page finishes loading the UI breaks. I've seen it happen in Chrome and Edge.
Sometimes just refreshing seems to fix it. I cleared my cache and that seems to work 1 or 2 times then it breaks again.
While I appreciate the suggested work around posted below, I do feel like there should be an official bug report.
