14,050 PointsHi Ellie, You declare the variable "userName" on the first time you used it. You should not declare it again on the last line of your code. Your code should work if you delete the words "var" on the last line, and use the "+=" on the same line like so:
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName += "#";
userName += lastName.toUpperCase();
/*** or if you want to use one line only */
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();
