Trying to run spec test in Building An Easy Rails Application

According to the video in "Building A Rails Application" we want to add directories with subdirectories that aren't currently there. I followed what the video said - "mkdir -p spec/features/todo_lists". I am getting the following message in the terminal - "The syntax of the command is incorrect."

Can someone please advise? Thank you, help is appreciated.

Well, it works properly in Linux, I suppose in Mac as well. Are you running Windows?

You can go to the spec directory manually cd spec, then create the features directory mkdir features, go there cd features and then create the todo_lists directory mkdir todo_lists - seems like the -p option does not work under Windows, maybe it has some equivalent.

Alright thanks. I'll do that then and leave off the -p or the sub-directories and go from there.
