Just FYI the instructor says at the end that triple equal signs are "identity" instead of "identical". :)

In the sentence ...

> We've covered data types and Boolean values, and we've contrasted the double equal sign for equality with the triple equal sign for identity.

In that sentence, equality and identity refer to the actual operators which are things, so he is using the noun form.

On the other hand, earlier in the video when he was describing the purpose an was operator serving, for example in the phrase "checking to see if they are identical" you'd use the adjectival form.
