Pick up the one you like the most, according reviews and what you need as you haven't tested it yet. It's really up to you, most commands not to mention all might be the same, as It's based on UNIX. If you want an exemple, on my side I'm running Linux Mint cinnamon. And I could type and test all the commands in the course, without any problem.

Why not using the console included in the course ? That makes things easier. Commands between unix systems and windows are differents, so you can't type unix commands and expect results using the windows command line tool. If ever you don't want to use the console included in the course either use a VM (Virtual Machine) where you install a linux sytem, or just use a live CD !?

I just wanted to know what are the other options beside the Treehoue Console when I am offline without internet access. Would you please give me more detailed on those options. I know what VM is and I have had some experience with that. What flavor of Linux I need to install in the VM in order to have the same experience with the online console. A URL to the package download would be great.

Thank you!
