10,791 PointsUnable to complete find_index method
Wow, that's two in a row. After careful analysis, I'm still yielding nothing on this one too. What am I doing wrong? I've posted the code below.
class TodoList
attr_reader :name, :todo_items
def initialize(name)
@name = name
@todo_items = []
end
def add_item(name)
todo_items.push(TodoItem.new(name))
end
def find_index(name)
index = 0
found = false
todo_items.each do |todo_item|
if todo_item.name == name
found = true
end
if found
break
else
index += 1
end
if found
return index
else
return nil
end
end
end

Courses Plus Student 40,065 PointsHi Kevin,
I already realize you put break inside if statement but make sure to add another "end" after two if statements. I double check again by reviewing our tutorial.
def find_index(name)
index = 0
found = false
todo_items.each do |todo_item|
if todo_item.name == name
found = true
end
if found
break
else
index += 1
end
end #missing
if found
return index
else
return nil
end
end

Courses Plus Student 40,065 PointsYup, we have been struggled before to figure out the problems or missings or mis-typing, it was tough but we will get better in time being. :-) However, it is essential to let other users know their similar problems near future, please mark 'best answer' if you like.
