unable to pass combining lists

unable to solve this, 3 items beginning with 0?

in brackets () then in a list?[]

lists.py 
best = ([1,2,"car"])
best.append([4, 5])

You can add individual items with "append". But to add another list onto a list (as items, not as a whole list), you need "extend".
