Unsure how to do this one, is there a hint?

Lost here. What am I missing?

app.js
var id = "23188xtr".toUpperCase();
var lastName = "#Smith".toUpperCase();

var userName = "id" + "lastName";

The wording of the challenge is a bit confusing.

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase()

I think that your not supposed to use the last name var yet might have thrown you off.

Thanks. I was thrown off by the wording. I ended up adding UserName += "#" UserName += lastName.toUpperCase() think so at least and passed the challenge. Yes! Thanks for your help!!!
