460 PointsUpdate functions video
I've had a pretty good experience so far with understanding videos and quizzes. However, I think this video is largely unhelpful to a newbie. For one, the example itself is confusing. The example function should be something more comprehensible and applicable, such as finding the area of a rectangle. The current example is really out there, and doesn't help me grasp what is going on with the function. Much of it is unexplained.
I've studied functions before in C++, which I understood. Could anyone draw a comparison between these two? Or just provide a more understandable example?
