Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types Use .split() and .join()

Use .split() to break the available string apart on the semi-colons (;). Assign this to a new variable sundaes.

it keeps saying task one is not passing after i moved on to task 2.

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')

Your code for task 1 works fine so the problem is in the code that you have added for task 2 (sometimes this can mess with earlier tasks), can I see the code that you added for the second task?

menu = "our available flavors are: {}.".

I copied and pasted that into the challenge and it passed task 2. Did you make sure to remove the full stop that is after the closing quote?

okay, i finally got it. i had to make some changes, thank you for your help.
