5,726 PointsHey, Beth! Yuvalblass was right. You have to assign the id.toUpperCase() string method to the userName variable. I noticed you had your code written out on its own separate line and you indicated the 'lastName' variable instead of the 'id' variable.
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
And, in this particular instance, console.log is not required here since the directions didn't explicitly state to print the function. Hope this helps!
