class Inventory:

class SortedInventory(Inventory):
    def add_item(self,item,):
        self.sort = sortπŸ‘ˆ#Error 1
        super().add_item(item)
        list.sort()πŸ‘ˆ#Error 2
        return self.slotsπŸ‘ˆ#Error 3

Take a look at Error 1, why did you create a variable? Take a look at Error 2, what is list here? think about it, list is basically referring to nothing here, so why did you use list.sort()?. The only LIST that's' available is self.slots. Try doing self.slots.sort().

If you need this code re-written, tag me or post back here, I'll make sure I can help you out but first try to apply these changes.
